Rust tutorial servers, by population

Every public Rust server that carries the tutorial tag or says "tutorial" in its name, listed busiest first. Facepunch ships a starter island; servers with it enabled start new players there before the main map opens. The list is larger than you might expect, because many of the biggest official servers leave it switched on. Each row shows live population, region, group limit and wipe cycle, refreshed every five minutes.

Rates and rules are unaffected by the tutorial tag. A 2x server is 2x from the moment you leave the island, so read the Rate and Group columns before you commit, not after. Where a server lists no gather rate, assume 1x. Region matters here: populate distribution is weighted towards Europe, with North America next and Asia third, and the remainder spread thin. Next wipe is an estimate from the server's own cycle, not a promise, so treat it as a range rather than a time. The tag says nothing about difficulty, map size or team limits.

The table sorts by players online, so the top of this page will look close to a general popularity chart. That is the point: most servers running the tutorial are ordinary servers, not training grounds. Filtering on this page is limited to a tag, a flag or words in the server name, so a search for "EU" or "solo" matches text only and not region or group size. For real filters, use the full server list, which sorts by population, region, rate and wipe state. New players may get more from servers for new players, and anyone who just wants the quietest possible start should check current populations on the live player count page before joining. Wipe timing decides how a server plays: the wipe schedule and the force wipe timer cover the cycles. If the tutorial is your only requirement and population is not, the list of all servers will surface smaller ones the sort order hides.
